Piglet's Story...
My name is Piglet but you can also call me Miss Piggy or just Piggy for short. I'm a 7 month old American Staffordshire mix with the prettiest brindle coat. I'm about 35-40 pounds now so I'll probably be in the 50-60 pound range when I'm done growing. My foster family has worked really hard on my leash training and it shows. I'm a gem on my leash! I love my crate and sometimes I don't want to come out of it because I'm so cozy! I'm working hard on house training and learning some commands, too. I'd really like to do some obedience training. I am generally good around other dogs. I can be a little picky about my friends and I also need to be introduced properly. I ignore cats and even the wild turkeys that walk through my front yard! I like my human foster brothers a lot. I might be shy at first but will warm up quickly. If your house has kids, it's important that they know how to give me some time and space at first. I really love running around in the yard with other dogs. If you have a nice fenced-in yard and a more confident older dog, that would be so great! The fence doesn't have to be very high. I'm not very well endowed in the leg area. I'll be your best girl ever with lots of love, some patience, and some more training. I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. My adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt me here: https://rescueofhope. com/adoption-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piglet, a Grand Rapids American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
