Chuck's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chuck's Story...
This is Chuck! Chuck is a basset/beagle mix full of confidence and spunk! Chuck is about 25lbs and around 3 years old. So far he's had no trouble adjusting to life in the prison. He has enjoyed meeting all the dogs and people and especially all the attention! Chuck does great with other dogs and is shy around cats but not aggressive. He would probably be fine with a feline sibling once they got to know each other:) Chuck will receive 6 weeks of training and should be ready for a new home in time for the new year!

Chuck is receiving obedience training at a Virginia correctional center. To learn more about the Pen Pals program, please visit our website at www.fetchacure.com. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chuck, a Richmond Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
