Teddy's Story...
Meet Teddy! We don't know much about Teddy since he just made his way up here from Flint. What we do know is that he has had a rough life so far. We are guessing that he is about 5-6 years old and only weighs about 10 pounds (we will get a better estimate from our vet this week!) ! He has a large scar on his right ear that is healing, which is why there are so many staples on his poor ear. He is staying in a foster home and has been sweet as can be! He is fun-loving and has been absolutely loving playing out in the snow. He is getting along great with the other dogs here. We cannot believe how well-behaved and loving this dog is, despite everything he has been through. He deserves to find an amazing home with some very loving people.

If you'd like to meet him, please call his foster home at 231-883-3747!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Traverse City Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Traverse City, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Traverse City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Traverse City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Traverse City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Traverse City paves the way for another one to be saved.
