Meet Lucy! HOLIDAY SPECIAL $200

3-year-old, Spayed female, Pointer/American Terrier Mix (best guess), 45 lb.

Lucy is a sweetheart of a dog who was found running down the middle of a rural road one day in early summer. She was emaciated, covered in fleas, and had had puppies at some point recently. She was likely dumped out. Despite everything, she has a great disposition! She loves all people, listens well, and is very playful. Lucy plays well with the other dogs she has been introduced to in her foster home, and loves to play catch with the 10-year-old grandson of the home. As Lucy is still getting over thinking she's "starving" all the time, if she goes to a home with another dog, she will need to be fed separately, as she tends to have food-aggression with other dogs. She is intelligent, and has figured out how to climb chain-link and wire fencing, so a home with either secure wood fencing or an underground/radio collar fencing system will be needed. One of Lucy's favorite things is to sit on the porch with her humans, and she also loves walks!

She has gained some much needed weight, been fully vetted, and is ready for her forever home. Lucy has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is on her monthly preventatives. All she needs is a place to call home! She weighs approximately 45 pounds. Her estimated DOB is 09/25/2013. She is in foster care in East Tennessee. Her adoption fee has been REDUCED to $200 which includes all vetting and transport. Vet references, personal references, and home visits may be required prior to adoption. We would really like to place Lucy in her very own home for the holidays!

About Pooches & Purrs Cooperative - Plainfield

About Our Rescue Group...

Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $500 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such so you will know. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience. Thanks!
