Kayden's Story...
Who doesn’t just love a goofy hound like me?! My name is Kayden and ‘goofy’ describes me perfectly! I arrived as a stray with another dog in early July, and I’m estimated to be a 3 year old Coonhound mix. I seem to get along fine with other dogs, and walked right past a cat that was snoozing on the floor at the vet clinic… so I might not mind cats either. As you may be able to tell in my photos, I have a lot of facial scaring on my lips from past injuries. My injuries were healed long before I came to the shelter, so they don’t bother me at all anymore. I have been neutered, had a dental cleaning, vaccinated, and am feeling like a whole new man! If you need a handsome hound in your home, come check me out today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kayden, a Menomonie Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Menomonie, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Menomonie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Menomonie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Menomonie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Menomonie paves the way for another one to be saved.
