Facts about Yosi

  • Breed: Pekingese
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
“Yosi” 8 year male Pekingese. He is owner surrender. He was a very well cared for little dog. His own did not want to give him up, but do current living arrangements, had to. She wanted what was best of Yosi, so he is with us. She had rescued Yosi when he was young and nursed him back to health as he was found in a pond and in very bad shape. She has had him ever since. It was a difficult decision for her to have to give him up. It was not something she did lightly.

Yosi needs a home without cats or small children. He gets along with other dogs. He will need someone with knowledge of the breed and/or patience with him as he adjusts to his new home. He is missing his owner. He is neutered, housebroken (needs to have a schedule), UTD shots, heartworm negative (he was treated for heartworms when rescued years ago by his owner) and micro-chipped. He does have scarring on his left eye due to an injury from when he was very young. He does require drops from time to time to help with dry eye. He also needs medication from time to time to help with his back. Both are medications are only required now and then, do not cause him any problems and common for small breeds like Pekingese. His adoption fee is $150, application can be found on our website (animaladoptionsociety.net) under “documents” or you can email us for one.

About Animal Adoption Society, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Begun in 1994, (St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana) the AAS is a small non-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill rescue group dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, orphaned & neglected companion animals by fostering them until they can be adopted into loving homes. We began working in the Picayune/Poplarville, MS, area in late 2005, following Hurricane Katrina. Since then, we have struggled to build our rescue group back up with finding volunteers and placing the many animals in our care into forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated & receives any other medical care that may be necessary. Each animal is placed in a foster home. We do not have a facility. These services keep the animals from being unnecessarily euthanized (destroyed) and stops the over population of animals. We work strictly from donations and help of volunteers/foster homes. We are always in need of donations and volunteers/foster homes. The more volunteers & foster homes we have, the more animals we can care for.
