I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.
Opal is a pretty tortoiseshell girl who is approximately 1 year old. She has made great strides in her foster home and will now hang out in the same room with her family all day long. Opal loves playing with toys and will follow you around seeking out attention. She needs lots of TLC and once she learns to trust you, she is a loyal companion. Opal is being fostered in Shrewsbury and her adoption fee is $125. Since Opal can be a bit temperamental when getting to know her, she'd do best in an adult only home or one with older children.

About Our Rescue Group...
Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats in urgent need. We work closely with local animal controls, animal shelters and rescue groups to ensure the placement of these forgotten animals. We will not discriminate on basis of health, age, or breed and will only consider humane euthanasia in cases of aggression or for quality-of-life due to untreatable medical conditions.
Our animals are vet examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered as needed and receive any and all medical treatment necessary prior to being placed into carefully screened permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our pets for adoption are in foster homes. You must fill out an adoption application before being considered for adoption. Once your application is received, the foster parent will contact you to discuss whether the animal would be a good fit for your home and set up a meet between your family and the pet.
We also house several cats in our adoption center at the Framingham,Cambridge, and Everett PetSmart stores. Stop by to play with them anytime the store is open!
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process includes an adoption application; a meet-and-greet between the prospective adopters, the dog, and the foster family; vet and personal reference checks; and a home visit.
Adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
Our adoption donation is generally between $300 - $400 for most adult dogs and is decided on a case-by-case basis. Adoption donations help defray the cost of transportation, care, and medical treatment.
Our adoption donation for cats and kittens varies by age.
Kitten under 6 months: $200 Cats 6 months – 4 yrs: $125 Cats 5 yrs – 9 yrs: $100 Senior (10+ years) or special needs cats: $75 Exotic and Declawed cats: $150
