Hello! My name is Boots, named for my fabulous white dancing shoes! I am 8 years old now, and when my family abandoned me in the shelter, I was so sad. My foster mommy came and picked me up when the shelter called her. I was so friendly to them because I could tell they really just wanted to help me out of a rough situation. Now, I live at my foster mommy's house, and I am pretty easy going. She wasn't sure what to think of me at first, but the moment she reached out to pet me, I came alive with headbutts and purrs and dance around for scratchies just above my tail! I like all people and cats too. Sometimes I hide until you reach out to me though... it's just the polite thing to do.

In my old home, I lived with other cats-- I would really love to have some feline friends again! All I really need is you though, so no worries if you don't have other cats. I really don't know what I think of dogs. I've never lived with them, and they make noises that make me want to hide. My foster mom is working on that though.

I just love affection and am so easy to take care of! Don't be put off by my age. I don't feel old at all, and anyway, cats can live 20 years or more! In fact, I think 8 yrs is the purrrfect age, since I am over throwing all of your stuff off your shelves while you're gone, but have plenty of antics for pawesome petting sessions... I'll even let you rub my belly!

If you'd like to meet me, check out the rescue's Facebook page for the weekend adoption album for New York, and it will tell you where I'll be! Put in an application online first though, so you don't miss out!
