Chiba is a handsome and happy shepherd mix that is a little over 2 years old and looking for a fresh start in life. He came to us from our Newark facility after his owners turned him in for having "too much energy". Well, yes, he does have a lot of energy, but a some exercise is all it takes to make him happy and comfortable. Chiba is a smart guy that would like a job to do. He's not the type to lay around and be a couch potato. If that's what you're looking for, then Chiba is not the pup for you. If you're looking for a running or hiking partner, a dog that will join in during all of your family activities, and a dog that is always ready to have fun and do something interesting, then Chiba's your man! Chiba is a well socialized and outgoing boy that makes new friends very easily. He's got a great personality and he's very outgoing. Chiba tends to get a little possessive over rawhides and such, but this can be worked out with training. He will need a home with no kids under 10 because of this but he gets along well with dogs his size. Chiba would bring lots of fun and happiness to your life if you welcome him into your home.
