found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
He is also likely to have some lab in him -- who knows?
I have been fostering dogs and pups (as well as farm animals!) for over 15 years and Luke is no ordinary fellow. He should go to a family who appreciates outstanding and unusual dogs like this!
He is amazingly handsome and has fabulous light-colored eyes that make him a real stand-out!
Luke is also a complete and total rascal! Luke is a very active 1 year old – he is very puppy-like and would be a super match for an active family with kids. I think maybe kids over 10 might be best, just because, although he is SO wonderful, he needs to learn some basic manners (like all puppies!).
Luke is an active young pup so he needs -- and LOVES -- to go running and hiking. He will wear you out and then he'll take a good long nap.
Luke is completely house- trained and extremely good-natured. He is also crate trained (but would MUCH rather be with you, and since he is good in the house, that is better for him). He loves to chew on a good bone when he is hanging out in his crate.
I did some research on Pharaoh Hounds and this is what I read:
Pharaoh Hounds are s friendly, playful, outgoing, and affectionate with their family. They can be aloof with strangers, but are peaceful. (I haven’t found Luke to be aloof at all – he is outgoing and fun.)
They love children and are intelligent, playful dogs. They are show-offs and will do anything to please their owners.
Luke isn’t a barker – he is quiet and loves to play. He never runs off –I have him in my unfenced front yard a lot, and he always comes when he is called.
Luke is an unusual dog and will make a fabulous family companion for an active, athletic family!
He is wonderfully healthy, up to date on his shots, neutered, and ready for his forever home.
If you are looking for that special buddy, come on over to meet Luke (and the rest of our wonderful adoptable critters!).
