Important Note

AJ is best friends with Chubs. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
AJ is one of 4 babies born around September 1st. in a Sanatoga backyard.
AJ  is a  beautiful  creamy  Buff  Tabby with soft cashmere  fur.   He  has  sad little eyes that  looked  worried  but he is a happy little guy despite his looks.   He looks like he is going to be a good sized kitty when he is grown.
He is very sweet but also  has a serious  side.   He is always watching and learning about his new environment  that he was brought into about a month ago.  He  was a little  fearful  in the beginning of being petted  but  loves it now.   His  new family  will need to be a little patient at  first as  he  will  need some time to adjust and  feel  safe and  comfortable.
His  brother  Chubs  is the  brave one  from the  litter and they  have been together  since birth.  Chubs  helps  his  brother  to  feel  safe and  brave so if you are looking  for a bonded pair,  these  guys are  perfect  together and  will  keep  AJ  from hiding so much in the  beginning.
Chubs  and  AJ  were both at PetSmart this past weekend and  the barking dogs sent them under their  bed and  into a  defensive  mode  for the  remainder of the  day  so they are back in their  Foster  home  for  now.    If you are interested in  meeting  Chubs  and/or  AJ  let us know and  we can arrange to have them  up a  PetSmart for a  Meet and  Greet with you.
They  both are littlebox trained, up todate with vaccines  for their  ages and  having a ball racing,  wrestling and getting into  everything.  They love a warm bowl of canned food and a good  rub down in the  evening  before the  lights  go out.

About Stray Cat Blues

About Our Rescue Group...

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at

Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.

For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application with vet references or a home visit. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our adoption fee is only $95. (Fee can be paid by cash or check at our Petsmart North Wales/Montgomeryville location. At our Collegeville location, the fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card.)

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you can find our online adoption application at our website - On the side of the page there is a section labeled Quick Adoption Links. Click on the link for application to adopt a House Cat. Click on this link, fill out this short form, and be sure to click Submit at the bottom. One of our Adoption Reps will then contact you within a couple of days to guide you through the adoption process.

Alternately you can complete a paper application at Petsmart when we have SCB volunteers present (see times for adoption showings). Questions - email us at: We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
