Tyson's Story...
"Are you looking for a friend who'll be absolutely devoted to you, and who'll light up your life? I'm just the dog for you. My name is TYSON, and I'm a handsome one-year-old Manchester Terrier/ Chihuahua mix boy. I'm alert and smart, so I can learn whatever you'd like to teach me. I respond very well to positive reinforcement training. I tend to be careful around new people here at the shelter, then when I know I can trust that person, I'm playful, funny, and spunky. I'd probably do best in an adult home, or in a home where the kids are older and considerate of my sensitive side. I get along GREAT with other dogs, so I'd probably adjust very well into a home that already has a dog. I hope you'll come visit me very soon here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I might hang back in my kennel when you come see me, so be sure to ask the helpful staff to take us out into the play yard. It's there that you'll see my true happy nature. Love, Tyson"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a El Cajon Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
