Please watch a short video of Piper below:
Piper is one cute pup! Since she came to the shelter, she has been learning to rely on herself instead of her person for security.
Out of fear, Piper sometimes barks at people and has a less than welcoming greeting, but she is really starting to take things in
stride. When Piper has decided she likes someone here, she reeeaaally likes them--she wants to jump in their laps and be cuddled and
carried. Sometimes, she is cuddly right away and sometimes it takes her more time (and cheese) to warm up to someone. She initially
didn''t really know what to do with other dogs, but is now often the ring leader in play group! On our walks around the neighborhood
and local parks, Piper now walks confidently and rarely barks at anyone. Piper will need an adopter who will help her continue to
build her confidence and continue to learn that she doesn''t need to worry about people. Piper is available for a home with human
residents above age 14--kids were too overwhelming for her in her previous home. CJB
