Alice's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Alice's Story...
This is the hardest adoption post I've ever had to write.
Our beloved Alice is in need of a new home.
Jessica Schroeder and Family adopted Alice last April. She is a part of their family, we are all family.
Jessica was pregnant at the time but we knew this was not an issue, because we knew Alice loves babies.
What we didn't know is that Baby Tinley would be born with horrible, severe allergies.
Jessica started noticing whenever Alice gave Tinley kisses, or even just a sniff - she would break out in hives. Tinley has had respiratory problems on and off since they brought her home. None of them wanted to believe baby Tinley could possibly be allergic to dogs - "No way, this can't be happening!" 😭
The Schroeder's took Tinley to their family doctor and was told they couldn't do much testing at her age but the best thing to do was to find Alice a new home. Alice is a cherished family member - this answer wasn't good enough and they needed to be sure, so they took Tinley to Omaha to a specialist for testing on Thursday.
The tests came back and revealed Tinley is allergic to 3 things at this point: Cats, Peanuts and Dogs - dogs being at the top of the list. If they kept Alice anyway, even if they tried to keep them separated, (which wouldn't be fair to Alice, because Tinley is her baby) Tinley could grow up with chronic respiratory problems and asthma. The family asked lots of questions, this is the last thing they or any of us want to do.
This is the most heartbreaking thing ever for this family and pretty much unbearable to even imagine life without Alice, but Tinley suffers daily so the choice had to be made to let Alice go. 💔

Alice is a 3 1/2 year old, spayed, American Pit Bull Terrier. She is house broken. She is current on vaccines and micro-chipped. She is fine left to free roam in the home. Alice loves kids, but needs to be the only pet. Alice loves her walks and can play fetch for hours. She's snuggly and cuddly and pretty darn awesome in every way shape and form. Alice loves every single person she has ever met. She "smiles" and when she's really happy she'll let out an "Aroooooo!!!"
When we rescued Alice, we created a Facebook page for her- Our Amazing ALICE, to help her find a new home. We encourage any potential adopters to like her page and start at the beginning to see how she came to us and watch her journey though life thus far. You will truly see just how special she is, and how much she is loved.

Our expectations are set pretty high for her new home. We would like her page to continue by new adopter, and new adopter to let her family now and her rescue family still be a part of her life. Pretty big shoes to fill, we know, but Alice is just that darn special! ❤

🌟Requirements for Adopting Alice:
1. Knows the responsibility and knows what it means to own a Pit Bull.
2. Must own home and be stable in life.
3. Alice needs to be the only pet in a home.
4. Must have secure fenced yard. Side note: If you have trees with low hanging limbs that you love in your back yard, Alice may not be the dog for you. She loves to jump up, grab the branches and swing! Video of this is on her Facebook page.

If you are interested in becoming the special new family in Alice's life, you can message the page here: []
for an adopt application or if you would like more info you can call Jessica Sprague @ 308-539-0277.
An approved adopt app through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue is required for a meet and greet. Her adoption fee is $75 and she is located in Ravenna, NE.
We know Alice isn't going to fit most homes because most everyone has pets, but if we all share far and wide enough we can find it. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a North Platte Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in North Platte, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in North Platte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Platte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Platte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Platte paves the way for another one to be saved.
