WOWZERS!!!! Meet our newest boy Blake, there is a 0% chance you will be able to resist him!!!!! Hello, my name is Blake and I am a 6 year old 101lb male Great Pyrenees/Irish Wolfhound mix. My past hasn't been all to great, I spent most of it here and there. As gorgeous and sweet as I am, no one ever wanted to keep me around. I was either too big, ate too much, was to fluffy, made a great chained lawn ornament, and just about every excuse there was people found for me. I hardly ever got to come in and did not have very good nutrition and now most of my teeth are icky and sometimes I have trouble chewing. I have also been punished for what I do not know but I usually hold my head down and wince when your hand comes to my head. Despite all of this though, I knew my people were out there. I knew someone was meant to be my forever family so I kept searching and finally the day came where I was rescued. I was adopted but after only one night it was decided that the household dog did not like me and they took me outside and tied me up. I was heartbroken, this was supposed to be my forever home and yet here I was...tied up again. Luckily, a volunteer came by and picked me up the next day and asked if this rescue could take me. They could not resist my charms and so I was off to yet another new start at life. And this is where EVERYTHING changed. I was taken into the house where I was greeted by other dogs who were very happy. I absolutely LOVE treats and will do little half-jumps because I am so excited. I am still learning that counter surfing is a no no but it is so hard when I am almost as tall as the counter. I am good with other dogs, ignore the cats, and am housebroken. I also LOVE kids, I love seeing them smile and being loved on by them. I enjoy following my fosters up the stairs at night into their bedroom and munching my late night treat and settling down by their bed. I have some adorable scruffies all over my face and legs, but the rest of my fur is all super curly and very soft. I am honestly the perfect guy, if you are looking for a calmer laid back guy but there is one catch...... I was diagnosed with heartworms, which means I was never put on a simple $5 pill to prevent them. So now I have worms in my heart that are making me a bit more docile than I should be. I also have two major ear infections that are bothering me and the cost for everything is around $730. I cannot find my forever home until I have been treated for everything and I was hoping you could spare a few dollars towards my treatment? I would love nothing more than to finally go to my forever home, the kind where I get to stay inside 24/7 and be with the people I love. The kind of home who will put me HW prevention to make sure I never get this sick, but that cannot happen until I am healthy again.
