Spooky's Story...
Meet Spooky! Spooky is a delightful all-black male kitty. His foster family says Spooky is one of the most playful and best playmate cats they have ever fostered. He loves cats and gets along with the family’s three female cats extremely well. Spooky has never hissed – we don’t think he knows how to. Best part about Spooky is that he will run and get all his foster sisters to run with him. He is a total Playboy! What a great playmate he makes because he loves to play Hide and Seek, Tag and Twister. He actually has gotten one of his chubbier foster sisters in better shape – we are sure – because he runs her up and down the hallways ALL day long!

Because Spooky is so active and a natural cat lover, we think he would do best in a home that already has a cat or cats. Maybe you even have a cat that needs to get into better physical shape! Enter Spooky! He will solve all exercise problems. Spooky is affectionate and loving too-- he rubs up against us when he wants food and is just starting to come and sleep on the bed when his fosters are sleeping. Such a sweet boy he is. He also does very well with children, pays them no mind when picked up and is just always a friendly boy. He is superbly litter box trained and absolutely loves food, any kind of food but is partial to Fancy Feast brand. We think Spooky is a total find.

Spooky was rescued as a stray, and we estimate his birth date as April 2016. He has been neutered and micro chipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on all his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spooky, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
