Millie's Story...
Meet adoptable little Millie Mouse, a 4 year old Maltese! With lots of love and attention in her foster home she is starting to come out of her shell, she takes a little time to warm up to new people but once she does she's a lovebug. Millie loves to go for short walks and enjoys laying in the sun. She doesn’t need much in life other than a warm lap and the occasional nibble of home cooking. Millie is a house trained and sleeps in her own bed at night. She doesn’t play much but she’s learning to enjoy life again. Based on her personality and small frame (5 lbs) she would be best with a quiet house possibly with older teenagers. She is a bit yippy but this makes for a great (but tiny) watch dog. Millie is currently in a foster home with two other smaller dogs – we do not know how she would be with cats. If you are interested in Millie please email bowwowrevolution@gmail.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Chicago Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
