Brena's Story...
If you love beautiful brunettes with natural blonde highlights who play hard to get...look no further because we have just the one for you! Let us introduce you to our velvety soft (seriously, the softest fur ever!!) brindle lady, Brena. Our gorgeous 4.5 month old Dutch Shepherd mix is the perfect mix of endearingly shy and incredibly loving. Classic to her Shepherd roots, Brena takes a few minutes to figure you out but once she does, you are in for a real treat! Aside from her amazing fun personality, Brena is a house training rockstar, is wonderful in the crate and does great with dogs and cats alike! Brena truly flourishes in the company of a confident playful dog and we would really love to see her placed in a home with a buddy who can teach her that life isn't so scary afterall! Brena is currently about 32 pounds, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in adoption, you can find an application on our site OMDrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brena, a Wethersfield Dutch Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
