Trixie is a petite chihuahua gal who arrived at Muttville and made herself right at home! She was found as a stray in Yolo County so we don't know much about her past, but we could tell as soon as we met her that she was an outgoing and sweet girl. As you can tell from her dry, flaky skin she hasn't had the best of care lately, but all of that is about to change and her future is looking bright. Trixie does great with other dogs and enjoys car rides and brisk walks around the neighborhood. She is a wonderful small size so you can take her with you everywhere you go!
Trixie is 13 years young and weighs approximately 8 pounds.
Muttville is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs. On a local level, Muttville rescues senior dogs and finds them foster homes or gives them hospice. On a global level, Muttville provides information about caring for older dogs and support for people who do.
Through associations with shelters and other animal organizations, Muttville finds senior dogs that have been given up and are not likely to find adopted homes. Through outreach and networking, Muttville finds suitable foster homes for these dogs. Ultimately, Muttville will have its own facility to house dogs that are not yet placed, or that are unlikely to be placed.
Our Adoption Process...
Most dogs have an adoption fee of $200.00. Muttville conducts home visits for potential adopters and if you adopt a dog from Muttville we require a signed adoption contract.
