Cherilee is a very sweet little girl once she warms up and trusts someone. This will take a few weeks, and unlike most Min Pins, she is not one to readily take treats at first. She will spend most time in her crate or safe space needing people not to push themselves upon her. Once she is comfortable, she loves to play hard and then crash. Playing her way involves running and bouncing off furniture. It may involve a game of chasing human hands that move across a couch or floor as well. While there are other dogs in her foster home, she tends to play solo.

Cherilee is house-trained and will let someone know when she needs to go outside by running to the door and back to the person. Sometimes she’ll stand at the door or put her front paws on it. She is also crate trained if a treat is involved and does well in her crate when left alone. When someone is home, she will probably be found under a blanket somewhere in typical Min Pin burrowing fashion.

Please note that Cherilee does require a home in GA so her foster mom can provide support as she transitions. She also needs a fenced yard, as she's terrified to walk on a leash. Cherilee will do best in a calm household with a woman as her caregiver since she is afraid of men.

Whomever adopts her must possess patience and a willingness to work with her to overcome her fears. People with Min Pin experience and/or experience with fearful dogs willing to make this girl for part of their family are the ideal candidate.

Updates will be made as her behavior changes. If you feel she might be a good fit for your home, please email foster with any questions -

About Doggie Harmony

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is an approved non-profit (501c3) organization, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you would like donate, you may direct funds to our address below, or to our PayPal account at

Come Meet Our Pets...

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, so watch our website for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested is, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in our adoptable pets are asked to complete an application that will allow us to assess whether a particular pet is good fit for their household and lifestyle. If it is, we will then bring the pet to their home for a meeting. If all goes well, the adoption contract is initiated and a fee is collected, but held for two weeks to ensure the adoption is a success. Our fees vary depending on each pet and what has been invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.
