My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Poodle/Bichon mix is a perfect combo for those who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog. Of utmost importance...both breeds are famous for their great intelligence, devoted temperaments and very loving ways. They're also known to be trustworthy and generally very kind and playful with family members and other dogs.

Sebastian is a guy who is learning about the ways of the world. He loves his long walks with his foster and is so personable...he's just a very engaging and cuddly guy! At any time a fun adventure is the order of the day - count Sebastian in! Poodles are known to engage joyfully and energetically.. and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their favorite humans and canines.

Sebastian is a cute as can be.. and a very sweet guy who favors the look and loyalty of the Bichon while taking on the very intelligent and engaging qualities of the Poodle. Sebastian is a non-shedding guy...both the Poodle and Bichon breeds are considered to be two of the most hypoallergenic available today. Sebastian will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition (salmon oil would be a great supplement) to keep his coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free.

Sebastian's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...he makes close playmates everywhere he goes. Sebastian is friendly (while perhaps initially shy) and that means everyone he meets has the potential to become a close companion. You know when a loved one approaches, Sebastian's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through his entire body ending in a smile. And if your lap is available, up Sebastian goes to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of his devotion.

Sebastian is such a wonderful being...we think he represents the best qualities of his breed mix. At about 5 years old and 15 lbs, Sebastian seems to have left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up his early life. He has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier his family is with his behavior, the more he shines with his accomplishments. We would like to see Sebastian in a home that includes him in family time and activities...he'd love to be involved and would thrive in a forever home that truly loves him and considers him a very important family member.

Sebastian would be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young dog. He would also shine in a family setting with older dog-loving kids. Sebastian would be overjoyed to accompany his favorite people to the park, walking beautiful Colorado trails and even riding shotgun running errands. Sebastian doesn't require another dog to be happy.(as long as he gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation from his people). He does, however, enjoy his canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs.

Sebastian will arrive on transport in Boulder on Friday 12/2/16. If interested in this very loving and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
