Black & white tuxedo, short hair, male, born approx. 1/1/11, #12473
Enrique came to The Rescue House after a woman saw a cat get pushed out of a car in Carlsbad. When she went over to check on the cat, he walked right up to her. Concerned and not wanting to leave him to fend for himself, she took him in and sought rescue help.
Enrique is a very sweet boy who is quite understandably a little hesitant as he gets acquainted with new environments and experiences, yet it is also quite clear that he appreciates people and wants to be in their company. He enjoys attention and pets and if you are sitting then he also enjoys spending quality time in your lap. Head scritches are sure nice. He can get a little overstimulated with lots of petting though is largely a mellow guy.
Enqrique can likely live with another cat who welcomes him once properly introduced, though we are not sure that he will become buddies. He seems wary of dogs and we don’t think he wants to live with the canine species. Older children should be okay though younger ones are likely a little too boisterous for his taste.
Enrique surely didn’t deserve to be cast aside, and in such an uncaring manner! Thankfully the right person saw him at the right time and now he has a chance for a family who will truly care for and love him. Will you be Enrique’s special person?
