Chip's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chip's Story...
Chip is a gentle, timid, shy, but active English Setter who is 60-65lbs and 1-2 years old. He is also crate trained and housebroken. Chip needs a very patient and loving family. He did not have a happy past and although he does not have an aggressive bone in his body, he is fearful and needs the time, patience and love to adjust. He is so worth it! He is great with dogs and cats. Home MUST have fenced yard.
If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $300.00. Please Note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. We understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Once your completed application is submitted by you and approved by MASR, we will be glad to schedule your visit. This dog has been examined by our vet, spayed or neutered (if not previously done), vaccinations updated, heartworm negative, and has been microchipped. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. NO guarantees are implied. Dogs benefit greatly from Obedience Training - and we encourage you to check out http://www.pupsdogobediencetraining.com/ . They offer a great discount for training of dogs coming from MAS Rescue! Please note that small breeds are not well designed for families with young children as everything about them is more delicate and will require careful handling. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend; dogs could live 15 years or more!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Baltimore English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
