Pickle's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Pickle's Story...
Pickle is an adorable, playful, spunky and punky, two-year-old, 12-pound, male, tri-color rat terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

He loves other dogs and loves to play and cuddle, but Pickle can be stubborn and protective. For that reason he would do best in a home without children. And, due to his terrier nature, he is best in a home without cats.

Pickle is wonderful on walks and in any situation outside the home. However, inside the home, he is extremely protective of his home and family. So, he is looking for an experienced terrier-lover, who can keep Pickle out of harm’s way when visitors come over.

Pickle’s adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of Tails of Hope. He is healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. He is currently at the Tails of Hope Shelter in Highland Park, Illinois.

To meet and possibly adopt Pickle, please fill in the adoption application at: http://tailsofhope.org/availabledogs.html and follow up by contacting tailsofhope@aol.com or 847-557-9554.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickle, a Chicago Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
