Facts about Jetta
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
I am already spayed.
JETTA is an adorable young solid black female kitty with short, sleek fur, about a year old. She was found outside of an apartment complex moving her newborn babies from one bush to another -- and she was practically a kitten herself. She was brought inside and adapted to her foster home very quickly. She is very curious and is capable of opening cupboards and drawers! Jetta is a very friendly cat who just loves to be petted. She starts purring the minute you come into the room. She loves to play with toys, but she can sometimes play very rough -- and she hasn't learned yet that hands are not toys. She has been great around the children in her foster home, but might not be appropriate for toddlers because of her rough play. When Jetta's kittens were young she was quite aggressive toward other cats, but she has calmed quite a bit since being spayed (and is now separated from her kittens). Jetta will be a great cat for someone who wants an affectionate cat with a lot of love to give. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Jetta is currently in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28 th and Willamette). For more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296
Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet. All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
