SILAS HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Silas is a handsome 1 year-old Border Collie mix male who’s all puppy. As you might expect given his breed mix and age, Silas is a very active pup who will need an active family to keep up with him. He’s a bit of a diamond in the rough as it appears that no one has really taken the time to work with him before. He’s very eager to please but given his energy level, he will need some obedience training to become a canine good citizen as he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. Silas is certainly worth the effort though as he is as kind and sweet as can be. Silas gets along well with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine pal in his new home to help show him the ropes and burn off some of that energy. He’s all over the place on the leash right now but is sure to get the hang of it with daily practice. Silas is working on crate-training (still having a few accidents) and will need a patient and consistent owner to work on his housetraining skills. He wouldn’t do well left along for long workdays but probably would enjoy doggie daycare if that were an option for him. Silas weighs about 35 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Silas. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Silas and to submit an online application.

About Canine Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Lifeline is an all volunteer 501(c)3 organization with a mission to save adoptable dogs from being euthanized at shelters due to overcrowding or treatable medical conditions such as heartworm. All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout northeast Ohio.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Canine Lifeline takes adoptable dogs to Petco in Macedonia most Sunday's. We also participate in many adoption events throughout the summer months. Please check our website at www.caninelifeline.org for the most current adoption event listing.

Our Adoption Process...

All Canine Lifeline dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations including a one-year rabies, and are on monthly heartworm preventative. In the warmer months of the year, our dogs are also on a flea and tick preventative. The adoption fee for dogs 7 months up to 7 years of age is $200. Senior dogs may be adopted for a reduced fee of $125. Puppies 6 months and under are $275. Since all of our dogs come from shelters and have been stray or abandoned at least once in their lives, we want to make sure that their next home is for keeps. That’s why each adoption comes with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a perfect match before the adoption is finalized.
