As you can see in my pictures, I was rescued by one of W.A.R.'s volunteers from a backyard in Jersey City where I had no food or shelter. The volunteer was contacted by some wonderful ladies who had heard I was abandoned. I am so thankful they called!
Fortunately, they were able to find the man responsible for me and he asked if he could surrender me to the rescue. My previous owner moved away and left me behind, and this nice man felt that he was unable to take care of me. I was hungry and very cold, but my rescuers say I had the warmest heart even in those terrible circumstances!
But, enough about my sad story, let's start my happy one! I am currently living in a foster home and my foster mom really, really likes me :) Although she thinks I've spent much of my life outside, she says I have very good manners! I also am extremely affectionate and LOVE meeting new people.
While in foster, we found out some great things about me! I am potty trained, am doing super well with crate training, and learned sit, down, and come! I am also dog friendly and am living with a female doggy right now! Go me!
Right now, I am only 45 lbs but am very underweight. I should probably weigh around 60-65 lbs once my foster mama fattens me up :) I can live with children 13 and up who would like to play with me!

W.A.R.'s goal is to find the perfect family dynamic and place our dogs in a loving, safe and permanent home. All of our dogs available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped.
Our adoption process starts with filling an application, home visit, meet and greet and then finalizing with an adoption contract and fee.
Adoption fees range from about $200-$500. These fees help defray cost of veterinary and foster care and are tax deductible.
