Lily is currently living in a foster home in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
To my prospective family:
My name is Lily and I’m an absolute lover. I will be your best cuddle partner. If you are in bed and let me up, I will find a nice spot to curl up next to you and fall asleep. I am a confident dog and do not back down from dogs much larger than I am. So you need to be careful if I am around large dogs that are strangers. I wouldn’t want them to be mad at me for checking them out. I like to climb and can scale gates and pens like a champ. Don’t be surprised if you put me behind a gate and turnaround and see me sitting behind you. I can climb over most anything despite my small stature. I do think I’m a great huntress and will chase rabbits, birds, ducks and other dogs if I see them outside, so if I’m not in an enclosed yard, best to keep me on a leash. I will sleep in a cozy crate at night, but if you love warm company, I much prefer to sleep with you. I’ll even sleep in if you decide you want to stay in bed a little longer. I don’t mind at all as long as we are together. Overall I’m pretty laid back, but will occasionally run a lap or two or play with some of my toys. I like my toy bone, ball, squeaker…anything soft and furry. I do like to drag socks and undergarments around the house and put them into a little pile, so keep your clothes basket behind closed doors :) I will fit in best in a home with someone that is looking for a lap dog, loves doggy kisses and wants a nighttime snuggle buddy. If you spend a lot of time at home and want a loyal companion, then I’m your girl. While I do well with kids, I would do best with adults or older kids that understand my fragility and meekness. I really loved my foster family in Texas and they said they will miss me the most. But I’m excited to find my own forever home and hope that you pick me. Can’t wait to snuggle the winter together. However, I may need a winter coat :)

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
