I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sarge's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sarge's Story...
Sarge is a big hunk of burnin' love looking for his forever home! A kind person took him in and discovered he had most likely been dumped so he came to rescue. He is a gentle giant, but gets excited sometimes and does not know his own strength, so he might be a bit much for very small children. He likes to chase his ball and sometimes brings it back, sometimes not. It's all fun and games to him. Sarge will probably get a bit bigger and fill out more, so he may reach 85 or 90 lbs. We are working on his manners and leash walking, too. He already learned to use the dog door and has only been here a few days...he is really
smart!

Neutered Male
12-18 months old
current on shots
House & Crate Trained
Micro-chipped
very low heartworm positive
Good with other dogs
not cat tested
Good with all people thus far
80 lbs and still thin

Sadly, he is very low positive and has started the slow kill method. The vet he saw advised doing a round of antibiotics and staying on heart worm preventative and with just that he should be fine. The rescue will of course provide this for him and he should be 100% healthy after that. He shows no signs of heart worms at all.

If you would like Sarge to be your new best friend, please go to our website to complete our adoption application and someone will get in touch with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarge, a Dripping Springs German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Dripping Springs, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Dripping Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dripping Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dripping Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dripping Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
