Emily's Story...
Young Emily was found as a stray living on the streets in Turkey. It’s hard to understand how such a beautiful girl could be abandoned and expected to fend for herself, but sadly this is a story that’s repeated over and over again with so many of the dogs that find their way to Kyra’s Rescue. At just 2 years old, this friendly and mellow sweetheart will melt your heart. Our Emily is looking for a forever home where she will be treasured and treated as a member of the family…do you have room in your heart and home for this beauty? Emily is spayed and up to date on vaccines. If you are interested in Emily, please visit our website at www.kyrasrescue.com to submit an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Washington Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Washington, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
