Facts about Hoover

  • Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier/Neapolitan Mastiff Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 9759298-65

Hoover arrived here as a stray after he was found wandering with a leash still attached to his collar. No owner has called for him.  He is very afraid here and we will continue to assess him.  Currently we have very little info to post because he is so scared.  He will allow us to pet him and approach-----but he is fearful of new people.  We guess him at around 1 year of age.

UPDATE Hoover: Arrived 3/7/2016----Hoover is an active 1 yr old Pitbull. He is high energy and prefers to be with people and not isolated for long periods of time. He will cry if left alone. He reacts ok to other dogs but should be introduced to any new house mates before adoption will be approved. Hoover is about 55 lbs and solid. He is strong on leash but does seem to know some basic commands.
Hoover is available to an approved rescue OR; anyone interested in adoption must meet him and complete an application in order to be considered.

About Morrow County Dog Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are a county funded shelter. Our operating budget is very limited. We are open to take in strays and owner turn-ins. We only have 29 kennels and our focus is to promote and adopt out the dogs we take in. We try to learn basic information on the dogs, if they know basic commands, are spayed or neutered, good with other dogs, etc. We do have helpful volunteers that will take a dog home to see how they are in a home situation. As with most shelters we do not know everything about each dog. Our fees to adopt are low. We CANNOT guarantee the health of any animal.
