Poplar's Story...
Meet Poplar! This sweet little girl is 5-6 months and is really well behaved for such a young pup. She is already housebroken and sleeps through the night in her crate. She is a little shy initially but loves to get her lab mix energy out playing with other dogs. She will be scheduled for spay surgery soon. Poplar is such a good girl and is looking forward to finding a loving, forever home.

An adoption fee of $250 includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventatives if appropriate, and all medical costs while in our care.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit our website and fill out an application online at www.familyadditiondogrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poplar, a Charlotte Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
