Hello Friends! My name is Titus, and although I am wearing a formal tie in my photographs (don’t I look handsome???), I’m no grown-up dog, I’m just a year-old pup! Since I’m just a youngster, I have a lot to learn about the world… maybe more than most dogs my age. You see, I was found tied to a tree in a park, and no one came for me, so not only am I learning tricks like sit and down, I am also only just learning about love and commitment here at the Providence Animal Center, where my caretakers are showing me what kindness is. Next up, I want to learn about what it is like to have a soft, comfy home. I have shown my friends here that I can be lots of fun—I’m playful, eager to please, outgoing, and confident. And I love to play with other dogs! What they don’t know about me yet is how cute I would look curled up in my very own bed and how nicely I would greet you when you get home from work or from running errands! My friends here at the Center have made lots of notes about my personality on little sheets of paper. They say that I am smart and will be easy to teach, because I want to learn and work (that’s all true). They say I'm such a good boy because I love to meet new dogs and show them the Center is a great place to wait until a home comes along. They also say that I love being petted and sometimes kiss the handlers because I want more pets (also true, but I promise I won’t demand TOO much petting attention if you can give me a little bit each day). They also wrote down that I am silly, sometimes climb on laps, can be excited, and am still puppyish, but that I respond very well to exercising of my mind and body. I don’t want to brag, but I think that makes me sound pretty good, right? Recently one of my best friends here took me for a 5-mile walk in a big state park. She says that I am a really good walking partner, often looking up at her and checking in for guidance. My favorite comment from one of the staff, however, is that I am “looking for someone to guide me into greatness.” I love that idea! I would really love to be a great dog and think I have all the right stuff for it too! Could you be my guide, the one who shows me that I can love and trust people, and the one who teaches me what a home is? If so, please come and meet me! Take me out of the kennels so that you can get a sense of what I am really like, away from all the barking. And consider fostering as well as adoption! I promise, I’ll do everything I can to be great for you! Love, Titus

Providence Animal Center is funded solely by adoption fees and donations. Adoption fees vary per animal, please call the Adoption Center and reference this animal's ID number in order to obtain accurate fee information. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed blend for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed blend. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

To foster or adopt this dog please call Providence Animal Center at 610-566-1370 during adoption hours. You may also email adoptions@providenceac.org. Can't foster or adopt? Donate to help our homeless pets, www.providenceac.org/donate.

Our adoption requirements and a printable application form may be found on our website. With your adoption fee you get a lot for FREE! All the pets adopted from Providence Animal Center are given wellness exams, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Additionally, dogs over 7 months old are heartworm tested and all felines are tested for FELV/FIV. Adopters may receive discounted wellness care from our adoptions health department, and also get a complimentary wellness visit at a participating private veterinary practice up to 30 days post-adoption and the pets are given personality evaluations. It doesn't stop there- a gift of one month of pet health insurance is included along with unlimited phone consultations and e-mail exchanges with our trained feline and canine behavior experts.

Not ready to adopt yet? You can still guarantee the safety and well-being of any of our dogs or puppies by temporarily fostering one or more right in your own home. Visit our foster page to learn about the program. Then, email your application along with any questions to foster@providenceac.org for immediate review.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption screening will take approximately 20 minutes and requires the following information:
A driver’s license or some form of state-issued photo identification with your current address
Residency: We always need to check with the owners of the property to be sure that the animal will be welcome. If you live in an apartment, we need to see a copy of your lease stating that you are allowed to have pets. If you own your home, please bring a copy of your deed, mortgage payment book or tax bill.
All family members living in the home are required to meet the animal prior to adoption approval.
If you are planning to adopt a dog and presently have a dog, both dogs must meet.
