George Clooney is a 3-4 year old male purebred Boston Terrier, weighing 18lbs.

George is a complete love bug!  He loves kisses and lots of attention!  He can be bossy and demanding for more attention, he is adorably cute.  He is a little timid in new surroundings and timid around new people at first.  He loves to snuggle under a blanket and will dive under the covers if he can!  George walks well on a leash, is very food motivated to learn new things-he can now sit and stay!  George likes going on car rides, going on walks, though he likes to take breaks while going on his walks due to an old injury [before coming to rescue]. He does not seem to be in any pain according to the vet tests.

George gets along fine with the other dogs in the house- loves to play tug of war with his fur siblings and play fetch with the humans. He is a happy boy who would love to just be on your lap or the couch most of the time.  George loves his people!

George has a protective side that his foster family is working to redirect and retrain him-he needs a home where his new family will continue to work with him on this.  George [like any teen] does not like to be told no.

George can be snappy if he is sitting on someone’s lap and another person comes too close, he will become agitated towards that person and his foster family is working to redirect this behavior.

He is responding very well to his training at his foster home and with continued training in his forever home, his confidence will grow and the fear and snappiness will be resolved!

George is up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, microchipped and neutered.

If you want to talk about me, please contact my foster family at the

Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee, Kentucky Region

Email me at: BTRETky@gmail.com and a foster momma or daddy will get back with you as soon as possible.

Keep in mind this is the general mailbox for the entire KY Region.

Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.

The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website

Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.

We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.

Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

About Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee

About Our Rescue Group...

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers of our own for many years, we are familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fees generally range from $400 for pups and up, to usually four years, $275 for adults, usually $200 when we have a mixed breed Boston.

The fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying when required, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "slow kill", a monthly prevention program for heartworms, treatment for other parasites, any other vet visits or urgent medical attention required, and supplies to foster homes. It is our expectation & requirement that these same preventative routine medications be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
