Aslan's Story...
When Kyra’s Rescue found Aslan he was weak and depressed. Having been abandoned and living on the streets of Turkey, the years of neglect and malnutrition had taken a toll. Now however, with the love and medical care he has received at our clinic, Aslan is ready to embrace life to the fullest with the help of a forever family in the U.S. Named after the lion character in the beloved story, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, our lion-hearted warrior has been steadily gaining weight and re-growing his coat, and with a little more time, love and care, he will be an amazing addition to a lucky new family. We’re told that he loves yogurt, so his new family should be ready to indulge him with this special treat. Aslan is approx. 6.5 years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines. If you can open your home and heart to this sweet boy, please visit our website at www.kyrasrescue.com to submit an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aslan, a Washington Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Washington, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
