Meet Siggy, a sweet 8 month old pure white Great Pyrenees x Anatolian Shepherd puppy. Puppy, you say??? Yes, puppy. Siggy is only 8 months old and won't be an adult until she is 2-3 years old! Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherds are two of a large group of working dogs called 'Guardians'--dogs traditionally employed to guard livestock from predators. Guardians also make wonderful pets and marvelous therapy dogs with proper training!

Right now, big Miss Siggy Puppy just wants to run, play, sleep, eat and grow up before people expect her to be the perfect pet that she will grow up to be. She needs a home that can give her those things. She loves nothing more than to stand on her hind legs and give you kisses, kisses and more kisses, then snuggle her head up to you for love. She is good with well mannered children, but as with all dogs, children should be trained to properly be around pets. She has not lived with cats or other dogs and showed no interest in them at the shelter other than meet and greet.

Siggy is a big girl and weighs in at 70lbs. She may not get much taller but will probably put on another 10 lbs in adult muscle mass as she grows to maturity. She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, housebroken and sweet to be around. She has been bounced around a lot for such a young dog; advertised for adoption at 4 months on Craig's List, rehomed and surrendered to a local animal shelter at 8 months. Despite all she has been through, Siggy has lots and lots of love to give to a family that has time for her and love to share. She will need obedience training and annual veterinary visits but is in excellent health. This baby girl is a sweet as spun sugar and ready to melt into you arms!

All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing.

Adoption Fee: $300

There are many things YOU can do to help us:
1. Adopt! If this Gentle Giant looks like the one for you, fill out an adoption application today!
2. Foster! This is a temporary commitment that gives all dogs in need the assured time to find the loving home they deserve. Your benevolent decision to foster unquestionably determines whether a loving dog gets to live or die.
3. Donate! Safeguarding these Gentle Giants result in expenses that are in upwards $8/day. If veterinary care is needed, the costs exponentiate to $1,000+ for a single dog. Every penny you donate makes an impact when it comes to vet bills! If you were to make a one-time donation of just $25, you would be adding 3 more valuable days to the life of every rescued dog and provide the chance to find the home they have been waiting for their entire life.

As always, all donations are gratefully accepted.

If you are interested in adopting this dog or need further information, please contact GPRS at info@gprescuesociety.org or fill out our SHORT application form.

Every dog adopted thru the GPRS program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered and on heartworm preventative.
