About Michigan Animal Rescue League

About Our Shelter...

The Michigan Animal Rescue League believes that every animal deserves the highest quality of life. Each and every animal that comes through our door is given unconditional love and regard in the form of physical care, socialization and the day to day joys that an animal would receive in a home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come see us at the shelter Tuesday thru Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

•Once you decide on a particular animal, you will fill out an adoption application, which can be done online at or in person.

•You can then take a day or two to prepare your home and make proper introductions if you have children or other animals in your home. We ask that you bring your children and other animals to the shelter for an outdoor introduction.

•One to five days after submitting your application you should receive a call from MARL that a perfect match has been made between you, your home and the animal. You can make arrangements to pick up your dog or cat from the shelter.

•When you arrive at the shelter you will sign the adoption agreement and take care of adoption fees. ($200 for dogs and $100 for cats) All animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccination before they go home.
