Diesel is a deaf 8 yr young blue brindle pit pull in need of a new home. He finds himself in this situation as his owner was unable to take him when he moved. A family member has kindly taken Diesel in, but due to medical issues is unable to give him the exercise and attention that they know he deserves. So they contacted WAAAG to find Diesel a loving forever home that will understand his special needs.

Diesel is gentle and loving and has shown no aggressive tendencies with other animals. He was raised for several years with 2 other dogs with no problems other than he can be protective of his food. Therefore, he will need to be fed away from other animals. He doesn't not appear to be too interested in cats.  He is neutered and up to date on shots. Diesel's deafness has not seemed to effect him negatively. He does recognize some hand signals.  Diesel has spent much of his life on a run.  He was brought into the house during inclement weather and showed good manners while inside. He is house-trained. Diesel will require a yard and/or to be walked on a leash as he tends to be an escape artist. He knows basic commands and is a very social boy when given the opportunity. He is a friendly boy who just needs to be loved, exercised and socialized. Won't you give Diesel a chance to become your new best friend?

About Washington Area Animal Adoption Group

About Our Rescue Group...

Washington Area Animal Adoption Group (WAAAG) is a Veteran Operated Non-profit organization with the sole purpose to save animals and prevent cruelty to animals.

WAAAG is an all-volunteer animal rescue nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Delaplane, VA. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our furry friends. The WAAAG concept of offering a healing "timeout" for often abused, neglected and abandoned shelter animals is unique and well thought out.

WAAAG is dedicated to improving the lives of our furry friends. We take in dogs & cats from overcrowded shelters. In addition to vet care, our animals receive lots of unconditional love, rest & relaxation to help them recover from what they have been through.

WAAAG dogs stay in climate controlled cabins where have their own rooms & access to their own covered porch, kennel run & play yard. Peace & Tranquility help the dogs heal emotionally & prepare for their forever home.

WAAAG is on 50 acres, just outside of Delaplane in the beautiful Northern VA countryside. WAAAG animals enjoy peaceful walks through grassy fields & along meandering creeks next to large trees.

WAAAG is worth your consideration and your support!

Come Meet Our Pets...

At our location and at adoption events we schedule in the local area. We also have a featured dog at Barrel Oak Winery each weekend. Check our Facebook page to see which dog will be featured https://www.facebook.com/WAAAG.ORG/

Our Adoption Process...

If you see a dog you are interested in meeting, please contact us.

We have adoption application forms on our website at www.waaag.org. Please complete a form and email to us.

We will have you come and meet the animal you are interested. If it is a good fit, then we will conduct a home visit, just to make sure the animal will go to a good home.

If the home visit goes well, the adoption will be finalized with the Adoption Agreement form. We ask for a $300 donation for a dog and $100 for a cat.
