Beaver's Story...
Hey there! My name's Beaver, what's yours? I'm a young pit bull mix, who was recently found as a stray and brought to the shelter. I'm not sure what happened to my old family, but I sure do hope they're ok! I'm a friendly boy, and love to play. Since I'm so new to the shelter they're not sure if I would do well in a home with dogs, cats, or kids yet, but we'll know soon!

Before I go to a new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will also have a microchip. All I need now is someone like YOU to give me a chance and love me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beaver, a Youngwood Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
