Rusty's Story...
Rusty is a 5 year old husky mix, approximately 35 lbs, with a beautiful rust colored coat. He is a sweet and loving guy, a bit shy at first but once he knows you he warms right up. He loves to follow you around while you do yard work and projects, staying close to home. Rusty is gentle and loves to be with his people. He loves to cuddle, and is good with kids. Though he is good inside he will mark if another dog has had an accident. Rusty likes to be outdoors, but is calm and easy to be around indoors. He enjoys playing with other dogs, and tends to be submissive and non-territorial. Good with goats. He's a lover and such a mellow temperament.
Rusty has been though a couple of homes in his short life so is looking forward to his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Roslyn Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Roslyn, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Roslyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roslyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roslyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roslyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
