My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Your Prince Charming Awaits! Meet Tucker.

7-month-old, black and tan, male, large German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Yes (older preferred)

Good with cats: Unknown

Meet the handsome and oh-so-charming Tucker. Tucker was an owner surrender, but we can’t
figure out why, this guy has it all! He’s as handsome as you can get with that beautiful black fur
and gorgeous smile. And he absolutely LOVES all people and other dogs. He’s quite the social
butterfly, this guy.

Tucker is a youngster at only 7 months old, so he’ll need to continue with obedience training.
But this guy is super smart and has already learned sit, down and shake! He is walking on a
leash and is really picking up the commands quickly. He’s a real people pleaser, so he will learn
quickly. His foster reports that he recently took a trip to Petco and won over everyone in the
store. He even saved his foster the trouble of picking out treats for him by choosing them
himself! So cute.

Since Tucker is young and pretty big, we’d recommend older children who will be patient and
understanding with him as he learns to refine his doggy manners. He would likely love small
children, but might knock them over with his enthusiasm. He’s also good with other dogs, so no
worries there. We don’t know about cats yet.

As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our
online application
 to
get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved
application! All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and
expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be
patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
