Sophie is a 10 year old Boxer whose owners could no longer care for her. She’s had a rough go of life and this will be at least her third home; we want to make it her last home! She’s a great girl with a ton to give and we know we can find just the right family who will love her for years.
Sophie is just the sweetest girl and her favorite things always include her people! She wants to be with her humans all the time doing whatever they are doing. She loves to touch you and be touched by you; she’s a very “hands on” type of dog. You want to go? She wants to go with you. You want to lie on the couch? She wants to be with you. She would thrive in a household with a family that will engage her in all of their lives actives. Her ideal home would be with adults (noisy kids can stress her out) who while they have a quiet life are active enough to take her for long daily strolls (this is required) and maybe light hikes.
She has nice manners, knows basic commands such as sit, come, stay, down. She doesn't bark unless there is a loud noise and at that point it is only when she feels the need to let out one or two warning barks. She is crate-trained and house-trained completely. She does not get on furniture. She goes to the bathroom on command at night. Due to her body type and shorter fur, she gets cold in the winter easily and gets overheated in the summer so she needs to be an indoor dog. She is not protective over food and takes treats gently, but she can be possessive over toys. She's extremely sensitive to noise, but doesn't act as if she's ever been abused or physically hit. She loves car rides. S
Sophie is so-so with other dogs and horrible with cats; she would do best in a household with no other pets.
Sophie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.
