Lucy was an owner surrender to a kill shelter. She was adopted as a puppy and then at 8 months returned. The reason? The adopter did free feeding with multiple dogs in the home with one food bowl for all of them. Discord was occurring and Lucy was sent away. At IDGSR we feed the dogs separately in their crates and as soon as they are done they go out to potty. We would never advocate this method of feeding dogs all in one bowl. It's a recipe for disaster.
Since Lucy has been at the rescue she has been an ever loving dollbaby with us and the other dogs here. She is with a group of 7 dogs and gets along fine with all of them. This lovely sweet girl is remarkable.
If you would like to make Lucy part of your family, please fill out an application on our website.
