Dexter was a stray to a shelter where his family never came looking for him. We received the plea to help this very sweet boy. He was heartworm positive and needed medical attention. Dexter has completed his heartworm treatment and is now ready to meet all those interested in giving him his forever home. He is such a sweet boy, very well mannered and loves to play with other dogs. Please consider Dexter for your family.
11/21/2016 Update:Dexter is an affectionate doggie who likes to play with other dogs and hangs with people. He enjoys meeting new friends on walks and does not seem to mind kids if they are gentle.
He is house and crate-trained (he prefers to sleep in bed with his people though).
He is a little timid around vacuums and hairdryers but he is good in the house otherwise.
He is not destructive nor a barker. However, he does get mouthy like a puppy when he is excited! he will be a wonderful addition to any family that will provide him with structure, training and exercise.
