Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mindy is a 10-month-old brown and black tiger female cat. Mindy was found wandering an inner-city street, very pregnant, very tired, and very hungry. She came to us, and had her seven kittens shortly thereafter. We have no idea how the kittens all survived, because Mindy was so petite and in such rough shape from trying to survive outside. But Mindy was determined her little ones would make it, and as poor a condition she was in herself, she sprang into action and nursed them and cared for them, and what a mom she was! Now that her babies are secure and safe in their forever homes, it’s Ms. Mindy’s turn! Mindy likes attention, and loves for you to pet her. You can see the relief in her face that she is not struggling to eat and stay safe. But if you look deeper, you can see Mindy’s vulnerability and fear of the future lingering there. We’ve told her life will always be so much better, and when she finds her forever home, it’s going to be the best, so hang in there. Her family’s coming, they just need a bit of time to get there. Are you that family?
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
