Shady's Story...
Any Red Heeler fans out there? Let us tell you about Shady!

Shady is glad to be free from the chain this holiday season. She is spunky, playful, is good with other dogs....and super affectionate! Her name should have been Shadow, because she is on your heels, wanting to cuddle all the time. She is estimated at 3-4 years old. Shady is looking for a loving, indoor home this holiday season-hopefully one willing to share a turkey dinner with her ;)

$175.00 adoption donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shady, a Staunton Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
