OMD has our very own Ol' Blue Eyes (err, eye?). Named after the timeless Frank Sinatra, Frankie is an 11 week old Pittie mix who will wiggle and kiss her way into your heart. Sadly, our little lady didn't start out with such a bright future. Frankie was left at our by her owners after a devastating diagnosis of Parvo. Thanks to amazing round the clock care and the infamous resilient and strong Pittie spirit, Frankie is now thriving and ready to do it her way (see what we did there ;-0)

About One More Dog Rescue (formerly RSHT)

About Our Rescue Group...

One More Dog Rescue, formerly Ruff Start Happy Tails, believes that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. Our purpose is to rescue dogs and to provide care for orphaned, stray, and abused dogs. Through rehabilitation, socialization, and adoption, we strive to provide a humane service to all dogs that come into our rescue. Additionally, we provide awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog overpopulation crisis.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a Connecticut-based 501c3 dog rescue that will adopt to approved applicants in the surrounding areas.
We do not have a facility - All of our rescue dogs are in loving foster homes.

Our Adoption Process...

One More Dog Rescue (OMD), formerly Ruff Start Happy Tails, requires all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application and agree to a home visit prior to any adoption. Once the application is approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled between the potential adopter (s) and the dog. If the dog is adopted through One More Dog, an adoption contract must be signed, and we ask that a donation in the amount of $350.00 be made at the time of adoption to help our rescue cover a portion of the costs we incur through pull fees, vetting, and training.
