Everyone falls hard for Utah, a sweet-tempered Shep mix who is living in foster care with 3 dogs and 3 adults. This handsome boy is house-trained, is trustworthy in the house so is not crated, and is a good sleeper. Utah walks nicely on an Easy Walk© harness and is excited to see other people on his journey. He has met several children and thoroughly enjoys their attention and giggles. With a slow introduction to other dogs (no sudden approaches please) he does very well. Sadly, it’s apparent that he has been bullied by other dogs in his past, but providing the time and patience to have him meet other furry friends really pays off. He likes soft and easy playtime with other dogs, however has not yet met any cats.

Utah’s favourite activity is walking. His foster family walks him 2 times a day for 1 hour each time and takes him for hikes on the weekends. Utah lays by the front door all the time just hoping someone acts on his hint to go for a walk. Since Utah never had toys to play with, he is now learning how to play with various kinds. A fenced yard in his forever home is a must as he loves laying outside. Because of his size he might be best in a home with children who are steady on their feet, perhaps 7 years and older. He is very social, adapts to any environment, and loves car rides.

Utah has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated with Revolution©. This docile, sensitive dog is looking for a family that will respect his innocence, take him for frequent walks and outings, and in return he will make the very best companion.
