A sweet young woman saw my picture on Craig’s List. I was a very cute baby. She brought me home, and almost immediately realized it was a mistake. Oh – she loved me all right, but she didn’t have enough resources to take proper care of me. I needed my shots, food, litter, and also to get fixed. She brought me to a VCA hospital and asked if they would take care of me, and “voila!” I had yet another home.
I was pretty much a feline Dennis the Menace there. Being caged alone, I was not learning proper social skills with other cats and kittens, and to be honest, I was pretty rough and tumble with the people as well.
They asked PZF if they would be able to take me in, and that was a good idea.
At PZF, I was housed with some other kittens and cats. A sweet but bigger kitten “whumped” me every time I became unruly until I figured out kitty manners. The volunteers wouldn’t put up with any biting or scratching shenanigans, either, and taught me that hands were for loving. Wow! What a great idea!
Slowly but surely, I have become more polite in my interactions. I am very smart, and once I got the concept, it didn’t take long for improvement to be noticeable daily.
If you are looking for a feline family member who will keep you smiling, I’m your guy. I am still Dennis the Menace, but will just charm your socks off with my insatiable curiosity and, well, busyness.
