Hercules's Story...
Meet Hercules! Loving, affectionate, and easy going. A 92 lb lap dog! He's pretty sure his purpose in life is to be with you, hang out, help you with whatever you need. Admittedly, he is pretty darn good at that! He has a naturally mellow temperament and is easy to be with. Hercules walks excellent on a leash, loves car rides and loves to get out and explore. He is very well mannered in the house and on outings, house trained, not destructive, just chills on his bed. He is working very hard on keeping all 4 paws on the ground when he gets excited though... sometimes it's so hard! He simply loves his peeps! Hercules please asks, never to be kenneled or crated. When given trust and free reign, he is the perfect dog. His ideal environment will allow him to patiently wait in the house while they are away. Hercules has made quite a few canine buddies here at the center. His ideal canine companion is happy to enjoy play time and also happy to enjoy downtime. He loves both, so should they! He is most comfortable with dogs, people and environments that are quiet yet active, loving and patient, well mannered and respectful. Sorry, Hercules does not speak cat. Dogs and older children OK. We LOVE this boy! Age 3 years. 92 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hercules, a Washoe Valley Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
